I am a 2011 Graduate from Calvary Bible College  with a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Biblical Studies. Through my college career I saw the Lord do many things in my life that have greatly shaped who I am today. First, He sustained a 100% debt free college career, which has proven to be a phenomenal blessing post-graduation. Second, during my final two years of my time at Calvary Bible College my faith grew in maturity. Through the tools for Bible Study that I was given during my time in college, I began to ask healthy questions of myself and what I believed to determine if what I held to was entirely Scriptural. During that time I came to a Reformed understanding of Scripture and grew to appreciate the writings of such men as: John Calvin, John Owen, R.C. Sproul, Michael Horton,  and many other great men of faith. Further, I realize the vital importance of the ‘5 Solas‘ (Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria) in the life of the church and believe that without a clear understanding of these 5 areas, the church is open to much error.

As for what the Lord has in store for me post graduation, He is still showing me. Doors that I thought were open are closing and doors I never considered are quickly opening. These are exciting times (but what day with the Lord isn’t?) I do not think it a mistake that the Lord has instilled in me a great love for learning and teaching. Indeed it would be an honor and a joy to be a Professor someday.

In 2008, I founded Solid Anchor Ministries with the purposes of 1) Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, 2) Encouraging and facilitating catechetical growth in the church, and 3) Shedding light on false teaching within the Church. Through this ministry there have been great opportunities to preach in various scenarios and teach on many occasions. Further, I am afforded the privilege of writing on this blog in accordance with all three purposes.

Soli Deo Gloria
